Makers Gather For Annual Slater Mill Fiber Art Market & Knitting Weekend

Winter means it’s time for the annual Slater Mill Knitting Weekend & Fiber Art Marketplace, Jan. 20 to Jan. 22, at the historic mill in Rhode Island. Sign up for special events, classes, such as going “behind the scenes” with Dylan Uscher, a working knitwear designer and Rhode Island School of Design. Also, artists and noted knitwear designers Ellen Mason and Alison Green, recent designs by the Berroco Design. Textile art exhibition. The Fiber Art Marketplace is Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; free and open to the public with yarn producers, spinners, dyers, and micro-farmers in New England. On-site demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and knitting. The Slater Mill gift shop will also be open.
