Afterwards, time for a roll. The gray marl sweater – knitted when cables seemed unreachable, then were decoded into do-able excitement for furious experimentation – holds up well. Knitted for a large Boston terrier, after multiple (by-hand) washes, the yarn has gently felted and the simple cable remains. Much has been learned since this one was first cast-on. One pattern, endless variations.
